 WELCOME
 

to the website of The Shawnee Dharma Group. The mission of this group is to provide a "sangha" or a spiritual community for persons following any meditative path but especially Buddhism in any of its forms. Anyone interested in practicing meditation and the Dharma is welcome to attend one or all of our groups.

TUESDAY EVENING MEDITATION & DHARMA TALK meets from 7:00 to 9:00 in the University Christian Ministries Interfaith Center Library, holidays excluded.
FRIDAY ZAZEN meets from 5:50 AM to 6:30 AM. The Interfaith center is located at the corner of Grand Ave. and Illinois (Route 51) in Carbondale, Illinois.  (Map)
    (Please note that Severe weather cancels meetings! Please use common sense and stay home whenever the snow is too deep or tornados are headed our way.)

Buddhist Study and Practice Groupaka:Sunday Tibetan Study Group has suspended meetings until August 17th. And then will resume meeting every first and third Sunday evening from 7:30 PM to 8:45 PM at the Carbondale Unitarian Fellowship. For more information contact Judy Carter: 529-3110.

Tuesday Night Group meets every Tuesday evening.  Current reading is "Zen Mind, Beginners Mind."
